As an outside marketer for 2nd Family, you will be tasked with building referral relationships with strategic partners within primarily the Baltimore, Carroll, and / or Howard county regions. You’ll be asked to develop relationships with strategic professionals who are in a position to provide families who need our services with referral information. This may include building relationships with social workers, discharge planners, nursing staff members, long term care insurance providers, etc. Together we will identify target referral sources, map out a game plan, and set you up for success. We are absolutely confident that 2nd Family provides the best service available, bar none. And we have a list of client recommendations to back that up. The service you will be championing is the best. We also utilize advanced technology and have a caregiver management structure in place that others simply don’t have right now.
In addition to developing a network of referral relationships, you will also serve as a presence in the community for 2nd Family. In that capacity, you will have the opportunity to attend senior fairs, expos, networking events, happy hour, etc.
Outline of a sample day
As an outside marketer, you will be given a high degree of autonomy to develop relationships as you see fit. Unless you have pre-established relationships, developing them is a labor of love that takes some time. On any given day you may drop by one of your target facilities to visit the social workers, introduce yourself to some of the nursing staff, interact with the residents, and lay the foundation of developing your presence at the facility. Later you may attend a networking event and field a few phone calls from prospective clients with questions on our services. You’ll wrap up your day by logging all of your daily information into our system and filling our your daily report. Again, you will have a high degree of autonomy, but daily reports will help us stay on the same page.

While we are currently serving Central Maryland, that will be expanding as we add the right people. Future opportunities could include branch management or territory management.
